Lynchburg restaurant shooting victims out of hospital; shooter sought

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) -The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is investigating a shooting that happened Friday at the BeeBee’s Spot restaurant.

LPD officers were dispatched to BeeBee’s Spot at 6113 Fort Avenue around 11:13 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Police said witnesses reported hearing shots while on the outdoor patio, and it was quickly confirmed that several individuals were injured.

Officers found three adults with gunshot wounds on the scene; they were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Two more arrived at the hospital later. and all five have been treated and released, according to police.

Police say all five victims are in their 20s and 30s.
