Trump posts image of $100 bill with his signature

WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Donald Trump posted a picture of a $100 bill featuring his signature to Truth Social on Friday.

The image showed Trump’s signature positioned above the Treasury secretary’s on the bill.

Administration’s plans for the $100 bill

In March, the Treasury Department said the administration was planning to feature Trump on the bill in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The department has not said whether the $100 bills with Trump’s signature are currently being printed.

Historically, the $100 bill has only featured the signatures of the Treasury secretary and the treasurer of the United States.

The addition of a sitting president’s signature would mark a first for the bill.
