Danville crews fight house fire

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) - A house in Danville is damaged after a fire sparked Friday evening at a home on Leemont Court.

The Danville Fire Department responded to the call around 5:30 p.m. and found smoke coming from the roof of the home.

Crews said they could hear an alarm sounding from outside the building.

Firefighters forced entry into the house, and brought the flames under control.

The home was damaged from the smoke. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Danville Fire Department did not report any injuries in its press release.
